2.4 MW of solar panels floating at sea — the largest floating solar array at sea in the world's most demanding marine conditions. SolarSea® powers Cheval Blanc Randheli in the Maldives largely on solar during daylight hours, saving an estimated USD 1.5 million per year in diesel costs.

Tropical islands have the most sunshine on earth — and the least space for solar panels on land. So we put them on the sea. Swimsol installed the world's first floating solar platform at sea in 2014, and SolarSea® has been operating in tropical marine conditions ever since. Today, SolarSea® runs across ten locations worldwide — most in the Maldives, with additional installations in Indonesia and Chile, and expansion underway in the Seychelles and beyond.

More than 50 resort islands across the Maldives run on Swimsol solar — including properties managed by Four Seasons, Waldorf Astoria, and The Ritz-Carlton.
